Pelikan Souverän M800 (Green/Black ‘Stresemann’ stripes)
Pelikan is an old and well respected quality German pen manufacturer and the Souverän range is their ‘flagship’ model. It is a piston filler and the black stripes are actually transparent allowing the ink quantity to be seen. The stripes are known as ‘Stresemann’ stripes after the German politician who favoured suits with narrow stripes.
The range comes in four models of differing sizes from the tiny M300 at 110mm length through the M400 (125mm), M600 (133mm) and M800 (141mm) to the ‘oversize’ M1000 at 146mm long. The nib is bi-coloured 18K gold and writes exceptionally smoothly.
