Sailor Pro Gear Slim (Framboise)
Sailor is a long established quality Japanese pen maker, founded in 1911. This pen is a shorter and slimmer version of their Pro(fessional) Gear model and is also known as the Sapporo. It is fitted with a rhodium plated 18K gold nib in broad size, but Japanese nibs tend to be narrower than European, so it writes more like a medium. It has been described as a ‘standard size’ pen, but at 124mm is much smaller than almost all my collection except the Conway Stewart No 84.
