Parker Classic (Stainless Steel, Gold trim)
This pen started out as a specialist ballpoint made from an old spacecraft, but in 1986, with the demise of the Parker 180, a fountain pen was added to the this range and I suspect a rollerball too, as I received a Classic Rollerball as a corporate gift (engraved THORN ERICSSON) around that time. I subsequently acquired a mint example of the fountain pen to match and both have the year code YE which is Q1/1986. The fountain pen reused the flat dagger-like nib of the Parker 180.
It’s still a fairly slim pen, but not as slim as the 180. Unlike the Parker Arrow, this pen retains the more traditional version of the arrow clip.
