Parker Rialto 88 (Matte Black with GPT corporate logo )
I received this as a corporate gift from GPT (GEC-Plessey Telecommunications). The Rialto, also known as the Parker 88, has the GPT corporate logo on the clip. The date code suggests Q3/1997, somewhat later than I had thought, as GPT were on their last legs by then.
This model was produced from 1987 until 2006 and took its design inspiration from the Arrow and the Vector rollerball. Ironically, now that the Rialto is no longer produced, the Vector is available in fountain pen form, though very much an entry level pen.
